The Rose Collection

Emma Shuckburgh continues her romantic journey into the world of relaxed country prints by launching her latest pattern book, The Rose Collection.

Emma’s quintessentially English design and colouring style continues to provide a sense of the serene, a memory of summer holidays by the beach or the rambling countryside.

The collection was designed with Emma’s daughter Rose in mind. Rose is a constant source of inspiration in Emma’s work, and her love of the outdoors and decorating with fabrics provided the perfect starting point.

Emma says, “Rose adores camping and the outdoor life. She creates warm, inviting and beautiful spaces made from faded bedspreads, quilts and cushions in a bounty of prints. The Rose collection is about the kind of designs Rose would put together to decorate her fantasy Gipsy Rose caravan

Dancing Ledge, the main design in the collection, features a loose bouquet dominated by a single rose. Simple co-ordinates have been created to mix and match, and used together they are
reminiscent of a quilted gypsy patchwork. Colours used across the collection are soft, faded tones of
Parma Violet, bluebell, ruby red and buttercup.
